Agh... before I do anything else I need to make sure I'm getting email updates on this thread, haha.

I've been using WebMatrix this entire time and while I've made a decent amount of progress on my project, working around the limitations of WebMatrix has been a separate and apparently unnecessary challenge in itself. The tutorial I started with had me create a SQL CE database. Should I migrate if I move to Visual Studio?

Anyway, I've worked out most of the basic functions of my project, and now that I'm wanting to do some slightly more advanced work I'm having difficulty finding helpful resources for the Web Pages framework. There are a few very basic tutorials available, but that's about it.

I'm also craving a more compartmentalized structure to the project -- having all that server code spread across my html pages is starting to feel a bit messy. I'll suppose I'll press on with Web Pages because the learning curve for MVC does seem steep as you said, but other options are starting to look more attractive as my project grows.

edit: I should add that I AM thankful I started with Web Pages. It allowed me to make a lot of progress in a short amount of time. This has kept me motivated and that's the most important thing for me.
